Italy is seeing a significant surge in interest in motorhome and camper van travel. According to a study by Campeggi.com, online searches for campsites increased by 34%, and foreign tourist interest doubled (from 22% to 48%). In 2025, new motorhome registrations rose by 10.56%, while the used market grew by over 6%. However, experts note that the reality of vanlife differs from the idealized social media image: travelers must plan routes, find parking, and manage limited space.
