The Stockach fire brigade was alerted on 6 August 2026 at 3:30 p.m. to a vehicle fire on the motorway at the Stockach-West junction. On arrival, a caravan parked on the hard shoulder was fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to the embankment and adjacent grass verge.
