From July 7, 2026, new safety requirements have come into force in the European Union for certain new vehicles, including some motorhomes. Mandatory systems include automatic emergency braking (AEB), intelligent speed assistance (ISA), lane keeping, driver fatigue monitoring, improved maneuver visibility, a rear-view camera, and a "black box."
The requirements apply only to new vehicles being introduced to the market for the first time. Owners of already-operating motorhomes are not obliged to install these systems.
