From 7 July 2026, new safety requirements will apply to certain new motorhomes sold in the European Union. Mandatory systems include automatic emergency braking (AEB), intelligent speed assistance (ISA), lane-keeping assist, driver drowsiness detection, and improved reversing visibility. The rules apply only to new vehicles first placed on the market; owners of existing motorhomes are not required to retrofit these systems.
