Motorhome parking conflicts: ban in Lüdinghausen and discontent in Cologne

A Knaus Deseo 400 TR caravan, model year 2021, is being offered for sale in Germany. It features four berths including a drop-down bed, aluminium alloy wheels, a Thule 3 m awning, a bicycle rack for two bikes, and a motorcycle ramp. The vehicle has passed TÜV and gas inspection valid until June 2026. The seller states the caravan is rarely used and stored indoors.

The city council of Selb unanimously approved fee increases for the motorhome parking lot, the library and bonus cards at the indoor pool. The decision is part of the city's budget consolidation program. New tariffs will take effect as announced.

The Harley Days Willingen festival, taking place from 8 to 13 July 2026 in Willingen (Upland), offers a dedicated RV parking area. Only motorhomes, travel trailers, and cars with roof tents are allowed; tents are prohibited. No hookups for electricity, water, or sewage are available; self-contained camping is required. Booking is exclusively online, with payment on site.

Hesse's Minister for Homeland Affairs Ingmar Jung handed over funding certificates for three projects in Homberg (Efze) totaling approximately €485,000. The funds are allocated to renovate the village park in Hülsa, modernize the bakery in Dickershausen, and build a motorhome parking area in the city center.

The Merkendorf city council has decided to increase parking fees for motorhomes at the Weißbachmühle natural swimming pool starting in 2027. Admission to the pool remains free, with charges only for parking. New rates will take effect from the beginning of 2027.

Ouma Enterprise, the official Taiwanese distributor of Crosscamp, unveiled the Crosscamp 541 at the Taichung Auto Show on June 26, 2026. The 5.41-metre motorhome features a pop-up roof for sleeping and a modular interior that can be reconfigured to carry bicycles, water sports gear or other outdoor equipment. It is the first model in its class in Taiwan to offer a certified tow hitch. Prices start at NT$3.58 million.
