The Canary Islands Government has submitted draft legislation to regulate outdoor tourist accommodations, including caravans, motorhomes, and tents, to the Advisory Council. The initiative aims to address uncontrolled development and environmental impact in southern Gran Canaria, a high-pressure tourist area. The regulations will classify accommodation types, set safety and service standards, and operate under a self-declaration model. The law is expected to take effect three months after publication.
