German police are stepping up preventive checks for motorhome and caravan owners. On March 14, 2026, a voluntary weighing campaign took place in the Mettmann district. Of the 86 vehicles checked, only two were slightly overloaded — their owners received advice on proper weight distribution. No fines were issued; the campaign was purely preventive.

Upcoming events

  • Düsseldorf: March 27, 10:00–13:00, and March 31, 15:00–18:00 at the traffic school grounds, Rather Broich 137.
