The EU has adopted a new directive that, from November 26, 2027, will allow drivers with a B license (held for at least two years) to operate vehicles up to 4,250 kg if they run on alternative fuels (electricity, biogas). This includes heavier motorhomes. Member states may decide whether additional training or a driving test is required. Sweden has not yet finalized implementation.
