From July 7, 2026, the GSR II regulation will require new motorhomes to be equipped with active safety systems (automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, tire pressure monitoring, etc.). Requirements differ for motorhomes under 3.5 t and heavier ones. Prices are expected to rise by €1,000–€5,000 depending on type and base vehicle. At the same time, motorhomes registered before this date (dealer stock) may be sold at a discount of several thousand euros, but without the latest safety features.
