The European Commission proposes allowing member states to exempt non-commercially used motorhomes over 7.5 tons from tachograph and driving time regulations. This follows legal uncertainty and varying national interpretations that have subjected private owners to commercial driver rules. The change is not automatic and requires implementation by individual countries.
