Central Bedfordshire Council said it would serve enforcement documents after being alerted to unauthorised works to expand a travellers' site in Tilsworth. A spokesperson stated that evidence was collected during a Monday visit and enforcement documents have been drafted. About eight caravans have been counted on the new strip of land created over the weekend. The council is treating the issue as a matter of urgency and will take appropriate action based on legal grounds and evidence.
