The Mid-Coast Council has approved a planning proposal to restrict long-term residency in caravan parks in rural and conservation zones to a ratio of one site per 50. The move aims to close a loophole that allowed developers to build permanent manufactured housing estates on land zoned for primary production or environmental protection. The proposal now awaits final approval from the NSW Department of Planning.
