Police in Gütersloh and Düsseldorf offer free weighing of motorhomes and caravans

DEKALIN announced at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026 (August 28 – September 6, Hall 13, Booth B33) a kit for mounting flexible solar modules without drilling. The set includes DEKACLEAN Ultra cleaner, DEKASYL MS-5 adhesive, and DEKASYL MS-1 sealant. Also featured is DEKASYL MS-6 adhesive-sealant, which received the Plus X Award 2026 in High Quality, Ease of Use, and Functionality categories. Visitors can purchase a 150-page handbook on caravan bonding and sealing.

Auto-Medienportal tested the PCA 3400 mobile air conditioner (€299) in a La Strada Avanti L camper van based on Fiat Ducato. The 1000 W (3400 BTU) unit can cool the interior to 18 °C at 25 °C outside, but requires 230 V and faces challenges with hot air exhaust. Noise measured 54 dB(A) versus claimed 42–45 dB(A). For larger motorhomes, cooling capacity is insufficient; for camper vans up to 12 m², it works with shore power.

Volkswagen has introduced the Gute-Nacht-Paket for the all-electric ID.Buzz, enabling overnight camping. The kit includes a folding bed (2.0×1.2 m), window blinds, a table, two chairs, and ventilation grilles. The vehicle's software adds an 'Übernachten' mode that maintains climate control for up to 48 hours. The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function supplies up to 2 kW of power for accessories. The package is available for all passenger ID.Buzz variants starting at €2,600.

A Knaus Deseo 400 TR caravan, model year 2021, is being offered for sale in Germany. It features four berths including a drop-down bed, aluminium alloy wheels, a Thule 3 m awning, a bicycle rack for two bikes, and a motorcycle ramp. The vehicle has passed TÜV and gas inspection valid until June 2026. The seller states the caravan is rarely used and stored indoors.

The city council of Selb unanimously approved fee increases for the motorhome parking lot, the library and bonus cards at the indoor pool. The decision is part of the city's budget consolidation program. New tariffs will take effect as announced.

The Harley Days Willingen festival, taking place from 8 to 13 July 2026 in Willingen (Upland), offers a dedicated RV parking area. Only motorhomes, travel trailers, and cars with roof tents are allowed; tents are prohibited. No hookups for electricity, water, or sewage are available; self-contained camping is required. Booking is exclusively online, with payment on site.
