According to the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the number of permanently stolen motorhomes fell slightly in 2025, from 473 to 470 cases, while the registered fleet grew by 6.7% to 1,046,383 vehicles. Since 2020, the number of registered motorhomes has increased by more than half. The theft rate declined from 4.82 to 4.49 per 10,000 registered motorhomes. About a quarter of stolen vehicles were built on Fiat platforms. The data is based on police statistics and information from the KBA, major rental companies, and the GDV.
