British company Sussex Campervans has unveiled the world's first production camper based on the compact electric Kia PV5 van with a pop-up roof. The conversion uses original components and sustainable materials, including recycled ones, and retains the factory 7-year warranty.
The claimed range on a single charge is up to 430 miles, dropping to about 258 miles after conversion (other sources cite up to 416 km or 415 km WLTP). Charging from 10% to 80% takes about 30 minutes. A pop-up roof is standard, and gross weight can reach approximately 665 kg. The base price is around $93,025.
