The RV Women's Alliance (RVWA), in partnership with the RV Technical Institute (RVTI), is expanding its technical training program for women in the RV industry. In 2025, the program shifted from training new technicians to upskilling women already working in the industry. Starting in 2026, hybrid courses (five weeks online, one week in-person) have been launched, and Level 2 training will be offered for the first time. Approximately 200 women have completed the courses.

Durango implements fine schedule for illegally parked RVs

The Durango City Council adopted a fine and fee schedule in May, allowing police to enforce illegal parking of recreational vehicles, boats, and crafts on public streets. Fines are $50 for a first offense, $100 for a second, and $250 for a third, with further violations making the RV eligible for impoundment. Vehicles may be parked on the street for up to 72 hours within a seven-day period before being subject to citation. The ordinance eliminates the previous loophole of simply moving the RV to another on-street space to avoid scrutiny.
