Open Roads Complete RV Announces Regional RV Inventory Update

Argentine TV channel El Doce has introduced the 'Proyecto Motorhome' to cover the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the US in an unconventional way. A three-person team, including travel blogger Pía Bottero and producer Gabriel Scangarello, will travel by motorhome following the Argentine national team. The project begins on June 9, 2026, with the team picking up the motorhome in Orlando on June 12. Episodes will air on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

California-based startup Aboard closed a $4.3 million pre-series A round in May, bringing total financing to $13 million. The funds will support mass production of its 24-foot hybrid-electric travel trailer, which features a 200 kWh battery, auxiliary drive for towing, and up to seven days of off-grid operation. A Brazilian family based in Orlando plans to spend about a month and a half in a motorhome following the Brazilian national team during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The project will produce a documentary series of over 10 episodes focusing on family experience, logistics, and football culture. The route covers matches in the US, Canada, and Mexico, reflecting a broader trend in sports tourism.

The average nightly rental price for a camper in the US fell from €185.91 in 2024 to €172.57 in 2025, a decrease of 7%. Some vehicles for up to four people are available from around €80 per night with unlimited mileage. In 2026, the US will host the FIFA World Cup, the 100th anniversary of Route 66, and the 250th anniversary of independence.

Encore RV has relocated its manufacturing to a new facility at 201 Crossfire Drive, Topeka, Indiana. Production is already underway. The move aims to improve trailer assembly efficiency, material handling, and employee commute. Sales and administrative offices will remain in Elkhart through July.

Go Power!, part of Dometic Mobile Power Solutions, has hired Scot Troyer as sales account manager for RV manufacturers in Elkhart, Indiana. He joins Drew Vergonet, OEM sales account manager, and Brian Pyke, on-site technical support representative. Troyer started in the industry in 2013 on a travel trailer assembly line, later working in customer service, parts, and sales. His role involves educating OEMs and integrating Go Power! solar, charging, and power systems into their builds.
