Recvee, based in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, will take part in a Cabinet Office verification of camper van use in large-scale disasters. The exercise is scheduled for 4–5 November 2026 in Shingu, Wakayama Prefecture. It will test camper vans as forward bases for Cabinet Office staff in an affected area under a Nankai Trough earthquake scenario. The selected Pronte VVDR model has air conditioning and a shower and is designed for two or three volunteers to operate self-sufficiently for two to three days. It carries a 7.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, a water purification and reuse system and a micro-bubble shower.
