Japanese company White House Camper, in collaboration with a local climate equipment manufacturer, has developed an automotive air conditioner that operates with the engine turned off. The 1800 W unit features five operating modes, an automatic swing function, and a timer. The indoor unit weighs approximately 8 kg.
The air conditioner will be unveiled at the Japan Camping Car Show 2026, held in Makuhari, Chiba, from January 30 to February 2. The development reduces noise levels and eliminates exhaust emissions during stops, making it particularly suitable for overnight stays in vehicles during summer.
