The caravan and motorhome sector in Spain is transitioning from rapid growth to a stable phase. According to the Spanish Association of the Caravanning (Aseicar), new motorhome and camper registrations in February rose 84.3% compared to a year earlier. At the Valencia expo, nearly 200 vehicles were displayed, with prices ranging from €6,000 for tent trailers to €161,000 for premium motorhomes.
Demand remains high ahead of the summer season, with lightweight caravans under 750 kg becoming a popular entry point for new buyers. Foreign owners of motorhomes in Spain outnumber Spanish owners by two to one, but infrastructure is lacking: Spain has about 1,200 campsites compared to 7,500 in France.
