Los Angeles-based startup Evotrex has closed a $30 million Series A funding round, bringing total capital raised to $46 million. The company plans to start sales of its first hybrid motorhome, the PG5, in 2027, targeting annual production of about 1,000 units. The model uses an EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) system, where a gasoline engine recharges the battery, which the company says enables long off-grid operation. About 90% of pre-orders are for the Premium version priced at around $160,000. Funds will be used to complete development, testing, and production preparation, with manufacturing in China and final assembly in California.
