In Paraguay, interest in motorhomes is growing as an alternative to traditional tourism. In 2014, 21 motorhomes were imported for $139,000; in 2015, 15 units for over $130,000. Local manufacturers are considering assembly, and in the interior, wooden motorhomes are already used for mobile technical assistance.

Toyota introduced the PROACE MAX Tanuki, a camper van aimed at long-term travel. Available in two configurations (Tanuki 599 and 636) over 6 meters long. It features a 2.2L diesel engine (140 or 180 hp), full off-grid living equipment: kitchen, toilet, shower, 90L fridge, solar panels, and a 135 Ah lithium battery. Orders are open in Europe; official price not yet announced.

American entrepreneur David Green is launching production of compact camper trailers Kampy R.V. EAS in Paraguay with support from the Vice Ministry of SMEs. A motorhome caught fire on February 3, 2026, at the intersection of Route 228 and Monteagudo Avenue. An attendant from the Axion service station was first on the scene with a fire extinguisher, followed by volunteer firefighters who performed cooling operations. The incident resulted in no injuries, with damage limited to the vehicle's electrical system and the driver and passenger seats.
