Vanesa and Evanis drove over 5,000 km from Concepción to Ushuaia in a 1986 motorhome named "Libertad", accompanied by two dogs. The trip began on September 26 and took about 22 days, finishing on October 18. Vanesa said motorhome travel is still new in Paraguay and that she co-founded the Rancho Móvil Club Paraguay, which now has 47 members.

Gabino López, known as Maiky, from the Isla Bogado neighborhood in Luque, Paraguay, built a small house on top of his car. He uses it for sleeping at night to avoid disturbing his elderly mother. He works selling peanuts and plans to build a new mobile structure on wheels.

In Paraguay, interest in motorhomes is growing as an alternative to traditional tourism. In 2014, 21 motorhomes were imported for $139,000; in 2015, 15 units for over $130,000. Local manufacturers are considering assembly, and in the interior, wooden motorhomes are already used for mobile technical assistance.

Toyota introduced the PROACE MAX Tanuki, a camper van aimed at long-term travel. Available in two configurations (Tanuki 599 and 636) over 6 meters long. It features a 2.2L diesel engine (140 or 180 hp), full off-grid living equipment: kitchen, toilet, shower, 90L fridge, solar panels, and a 135 Ah lithium battery. Orders are open in Europe; official price not yet announced.

Ramón Duarte, a former journalist, founded a business in Paraguay in 2020 manufacturing motorhomes and travel trailers. His company produces mini-campers priced around 35 million guaraníes and motorhomes for 60 million, with standard dimensions of 6 by 2.2 meters, built on lightweight chassis for towing by vehicles from 1500 cc.

American entrepreneur David Green is launching production of compact camper trailers Kampy R.V. EAS in Paraguay with support from the Vice Ministry of SMEs. The product is a collapsible trailer with 14-inch tires and 30 cm ground clearance, adaptable to different vehicles. The project reflects a trend of attracting foreign investment to Paraguayan industry.

An event for motorhome and travel trailer owners is scheduled from April 2 to 5 in Puerto Aragón. It is organized by APUBE with the invitation of the Barrancas Commune. The general admission fee is $30,000 per team for the four-day event.

A motorhome caught fire on February 3, 2026, at the intersection of Route 228 and Monteagudo Avenue. An attendant from the Axion service station was first on the scene with a fire extinguisher, followed by volunteer firefighters who performed cooling operations. The incident resulted in no injuries, with damage limited to the vehicle's electrical system and the driver and passenger seats.

Argentine choreographer Flavio Mendoza has showcased his motorhome, which serves as a mobile home for him and his son during circus tours. The vehicle features a two-level layout, a modern kitchen with high-end appliances, a fireplace, and a bedroom on the upper level. It is parked next to the circus tent to accommodate his work schedule.
