Itineo launches 20th anniversary special edition motorhomes

The VWN’co association is organizing its second annual vintage vehicle rally at Rimbaud Park in Bagnols-sur-Cèze from June 26 to 28. The event features cars and caravans from before the 1990s, a market, games, pin-up performances, and a disco party. In 2025, 85 vehicles were displayed; organizers hope for 150 this year but cite heat and fuel prices as potential factors. Admission is free.

French manufacturer Rapido introduces the Dreamer D64 and Rapido V64 camper vans based on the 6.36 m Fiat Ducato, featuring a rear queensize bed (195×140 cm). To accommodate the bed, the layout is redesigned: the kitchen moves to the left side behind the driver‘s seat, and a two-person bench is placed by the sliding door. The van includes a spacious bathroom with a pivoting sink, a large compressor fridge, and a fold-out table. Prices have not been announced.

French company Hanroad, part of the Pilote group, has introduced the next-generation Switch camper van built on the Renault Trafic platform. The 2027 model features a modular interior with up to seven seats and a pop-up roof bed. Starting price is €46,900, comparable to a used motorhome or a new premium SUV.

Catherine and Pierrot, who have been living in a motorhome for eight years, parked for two months at Lake La Thuile in the French Savoie region to spend summer near their daughter. They gave up their permanent home and travel in their vehicle.

Challenger introduces the 337 model for 2027 — a profiled motorhome 7.19–7.20 m long, available in Graphite Edition on Ford Transit or Fiat Ducato chassis from €70,490.

Trigano's third-quarter sales rose 1.6% year-over-year to €1,162.2 million, with nine-month sales up 4.3%. Caravans posted strong growth, while motorhomes faced supply chain challenges. The company maintains a positive full-year outlook, supported by robust market fundamentals and ongoing share buybacks.
