Expansion plans
Horizon Holiday Parks has submitted an application to North Yorkshire Council to expand Dalton Meadows Country Park in Dalton-on-Tees from 36 to 52 static caravans. The additional 16 units will be placed within the park's existing boundaries without expanding the site.
Project details
In 2020, the park received permission for 38 caravans, but demand has shifted towards smaller models: of the 36 currently installed, only two are double-width. The project includes 14 single-width and two double-width caravans, two short road access ways, and environmental improvements: planting 20 trees, creating two hedgerows, and improving meadows. A children's play area and picnic area have been excluded from the plan due to lack of demand, replaced by a decorative pond.
