Winnebagoⓘ announced on May 11 the ARKA model, designed for off-road and autonomous travel. The vehicle is built on a RAM 5500 chassis with a towing capacity of 15,000 pounds and features a 48-volt electrical system with a lithium-ion battery up to 15 kWh and a 3600-watt inverter. Thermal regulation is rated for temperatures from -10 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
ARKA joins the Backcountry lineup alongside EKKO and Revel, offering increased water and power reserves and sleeping for six. Developers incorporated customer feedback after testing a prototype at Overland Expo. Public debut will take place at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, May 15–17. Price has not been announced.
