Despite high fuel prices, interest in vanlife in France is not waning. In Montbéliard, there is sustained demand for converted vans and motorhomes — from compact models based on the Renault Trafic to large 4x4 motorhomes weighing up to 4 tonnes.

In Brittany, Camping-car park, a European leader in motorhome services, is expanding its network of service areas. Rising diesel prices have increased visits to these sites. The average number of overnight stays per client has grown from 40 in 2020 to 60 last year. Over ten years, the company's activity has increased by 3050%, and its workforce has grown from 35 to 190 employees in six years, managing approximately 800 sites across Europe.

In Coarraze, municipal workers clean up the Chênaie site after caravans leave

About a hundred caravans belonging to the travelling community, illegally parked on the Chênaie site, left the area on Sunday, June 7, in the afternoon. The departure was calm. Mayor Marie-Agnès Ménoret Ultra, accompanied by her deputy Claude Grangé, visited the site to witness the departure. While some litter remained on the wooded terrain, most waste was placed in or near containers. On Monday morning, municipal workers began cleaning: they filled containers, and the garbage truck made several trips to remove waste. Bulky items, such as chairs and a washing machine, were loaded into the municipal dump truck and taken to the landfill.
