Japanese company Direct Cars has introduced two compact camper van models based on the Kei truck Daihatsu Hijet. The Dune Rover features sleeping for four, a mini-kitchen, air conditioning, and a lithium-ion battery, but lacks a toilet; the PLAT has a more aerodynamic design and a side door. Both vehicles are powered by a 660cc engine producing 63 hp, with prices starting from ¥4.39 million.
