State-backed caravan production launched in Bursa: exports to 5 countries

In Bursa, Turkey, entrepreneur Ülkü Kocaoğlu established a caravan and motorhome manufacturing facility. The plant, launched in 2021 with state incentives, employs 22 people and exports to five countries.

The municipal 'Karavan Park' in Konyaaltı (Antalya) is experiencing a massive influx of tourists ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday. The reason is its proximity to the beach and full infrastructure for motorhomes. Opened in 2023, the 70-pitch site includes electricity, water supply, showers, toilets, laundry, communal kitchen, and grey water disposal stations. 20 pitches are reserved for long-term (monthly) stays, 50 for weekly bookings. Since opening, the site has hosted tens of thousands of overnight stays and helped reduce unauthorized parking and camping in the area.

Turkey has released camping rates for the holiday period. Prices vary by region and accommodation type: from 500 to 1,000 TL per person per night for a personal tent, tent rental for two averages 2,000 TL, and motorhome entry fees range from 600 to 2,000 TL.

A new 7-dönüm caravan camping area has been opened in the historic district of Hasankeyf (Batman province), established by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. The site has started welcoming motorhome tourists, primarily from the Aegean region, including Muğla. Facilities include a laundry, sinks, lighting, and security personnel. Local authorities say all deficiencies have been resolved and aim to make Hasankeyf a key caravan tourism destination.

Turkish retailer BİM will start selling ADLE KARAVAN travel trailers on June 3. The 4.10-meter caravan is priced at 399,000 TL, with limited stock available from Wednesday morning.

Demet Doğan, a resident of Finike, moved into a motorhome with her two cats, one of which became disabled after a traffic accident. The cat named Eşeş cannot walk and requires daily massage, special nutrition, and hygiene care. Doğan, a former philosophy teacher, combines animal care with work as a web designer and plans a European tour.
