The Daihatsu Hijet Truck Panel Van EXTEND3 concept was presented at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026. Its cargo bed can slide rearward by 850 mm, extending the interior length to 2700 mm to create a sleeping area for two adults. The manufacturer is considering a production version, stating that strength and safety of the sliding mechanism require further validation.
