Japanese startup Carstay, founded in 2018, operates a camper sharing service described as an "Airbnb for campers" and a camper manufacturing business. The platform has about 500 registered vehicles and 90,000 users, with membership expected to reach 100,000 by the end of the year. The company also produces and sells campers under its SAny brand at its Mobi Lab factory in Yokohama, reducing conversion time to as little as two weeks using modular kits. Carstay has already achieved monthly profitability and expects full-year profitability for the fiscal year ending May 2027, targeting 500 million yen in operating profit by around 2030.
