Chief Minister Conrad Sangma launched ‘Latei on Wheels’, a locally owned motor caravan procured under the CM Elevate scheme, during the inauguration of The Pavillion opposite Ward’s Lake in Shillong. The vehicle is owned by Manbha Khonglah, proprietor of Latei Ville Inn; the chassis was sourced from Bomver Force dealership in Shillong, and fabrication and interior fit-out were done by Motorhome Adventures in Sonipat, Haryana. The scheme supports motor caravan tourism experiences intended to complement homestays and community tourism and bring visitors to lesser-known destinations.
