Annex unveils Liberty 52 REi motorhome measuring 5.23 metres

At Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026, Toy Factory presented the fully updated Da Vinci 5.4 camper on a Fiat Ducato base — an alternative to Toyota HiAce-based campers.

Japanese company Nippon Tokushu Body (NTB) has introduced the HARUKA camper, replacing the SAKURA model. The motorhome is built on a specialised Isuzu Be-cam chassis, measures 5230×2110×3050 mm and accommodates seven people, with sleeping places for six. Standard equipment includes collision prevention, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and other driver assistance systems. When fully loaded with passengers, the vehicle can carry up to 1115 kg of luggage. Pricing starts at 19,910,000 yen.

The village of Hakuba in Nagano Prefecture has issued a notice to owners and users of trailer houses regarding proper management and installation. A trailer house is treated as a vehicle only if it remains in a state that allows it to be moved at any time at the owner's discretion; depending on how it is installed and used, it may be deemed a building and thus fall under the Building Standards Act. Owners are required to ensure such mobility, proper connections for electricity, gas, water and sewage, an access route from the site to the public road, and to check necessary procedures such as building confirmation and landscape notifications. Operating commercial facilities such as restaurants or accommodations may require permits and notifications to relevant authorities. For individual cases, the village directs inquiries to the Omachi Construction Office.

Japanese company Toy Factory has relaunched the ZARA motorhome based on the Toyota Hiace Wide Body Middle Roof. The model had been absent from the lineup for about ten years: sales of the first generation ended in October 2016 due to changed safety requirements. The new version seats five, drops the third row and features a revised layout with a convertible bed (up to 2210 mm long, 1200 mm wide), a kitchen module with sink and refrigerator, an optional waterless Clesana X1 toilet and a 1408 Wh battery expandable to 2816 Wh.

Carstay has started renting the SAny.VAN Pop-up Room camper based on a Toyota HiAce. The pop-up roof raises interior height from 1.4 to 2.4 m, sleeping four adults. Rental from 9,000 yen per 12 hours.

The Marugoto RV Stay service, which combines a powered RV pitch with hotel amenities, has expanded to seven properties in Kyoto, Yamanashi, Mie, Ishikawa, Fukui and Ehime prefectures. Guests park their motorhome or converted vehicle on the hotel grounds, use the restaurant, baths and sauna, and sleep in their own vehicle, optionally with a dog. Overnight rates per adult range from 12,900 to 25,900 yen depending on the property and season, with meals and drinks included. Bookings are available on each property's website and through the Oyado Net Reservation Center.
