On the evening of June 16, 2026, a fire broke out on a private lot in Combourg (Ille-et-Vilaine), occupied by settled travelers, destroying three caravans. The fire started around 10:00 PM on Lanrigan Road.
27 firefighters with seven vehicles and three water hoses, assisted by the gendarmerie, prevented the flames from spreading to a nearby 50 sq m building, other caravans, and a wheat field. No injuries were reported; the cause of the fire is under investigation.
