Fire in Caravan

Pensioners from Nesodden bought a motorhome and started an unusual project. They decided to document cultural sites and places in their region using their new vehicle.

A motorhome driver overfilled the fuel tank with 40-50 liters of diesel on Thursday afternoon. The diesel spilled onto the ground at the gas station, necessitating a response from the fire department to clean up the spill.

Norway has strict rules for motorhome or caravan stays outside campsites. Parking is only permitted along public roads, and driving off-road is prohibited. The maximum stay in one location is two days, and a distance of 150 meters from inhabited houses must be maintained.

Randaberg municipality has responded to the Norwegian Motorhome Association's inquiry about waste disposal stations. The municipality claims its offer meets legal requirements and sees no reason to provide further information on the matter.

The municipality of Tinn has installed a new disposal station for motorhome waste tanks near Rjukanbadet and Rjukan kapell. The modern facility is of a type commonly used across Europe and is intended for the convenience of motorhome users.

A traffic accident occurred near Maurvangen on Friday afternoon. A car towing a caravan ended up on its roof, but according to police, those involved appear to be unharmed.
