On the morning of April 28, 2026, around 4:40 a.m., on the A20 highway towards Lübeck (according to other sources towards Rostock) between the Uckermark interchange and the Pasewalk-Süd exit, the driver of a van with a trailer carrying a tiny house veered to the right and lost control. The house, weighing about 3.5 tons, overturned onto the emergency lane, partially blocking the right lane and shoulder.
The 37-year-old German driver was not injured. Damage is estimated at at least 10,000 euros. A crane was needed for recovery; the highway was temporarily fully closed. Traffic was initially possible in the passing lane, then partially restricted. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
