Border guards from the Warmian-Masurian branch received a tip about a suspicious camper heading toward the Lithuanian border. In the evening, a Fiat Ducato with Lithuanian plates was stopped in Suwałki, driven by a 42-year-old Latvian citizen. During inspection, an overlay was found on the VIN number, hiding the real one. Database checks showed the 2019 camper was reported stolen in Denmark, valued at about 250,000 zlotys. The driver presented a forged Latvian driver's license. The man and the vehicle remain in custody. Since the start of 2026, the Podlaskie branch has recovered 10 stolen vehicles worth over 1.36 million zlotys.
