An RV towing ATVs caught fire on southbound I-75 near Kings Highway. The off-ramp was closed, one person evaluated, cause deemed mechanical.
Around 10:30 a.m. Friday, an RV towing a trailer with ATVs caught fire on southbound I-75 near the Kings Highway exit in Charlotte County. Firefighters found the vehicle fully engulfed on the right shoulder and temporarily closed the off-ramp to extinguish the blaze.
Crews saved two ATVs from the trailer. One person was evaluated at the scene but declined hospitalization. The fire was attributed to a mechanical failure and is not considered suspicious.
