At the Wildwood RV Village in Wildwood, Florida, 48-year-old Huarong Long Sayers was arrested for trespassing. Around 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday, the park manager requested her removal. Sayers, who had been evicted from the park along with her husband, ripped up a trespass warning, sat on a bench on the property, and refused to leave, urging police to arrest her. She was booked into the Sumter County Jail on a $500 bond.

Earlier, on Thursday afternoon, a fire at the Oak Grove Village mobile home park in the same area destroyed one RV and severely damaged another. The Sumter County Fire Department responded. Traffic on State Road 44 was affected, and a Florida Highway Patrol officer was on scene.

Mt. Hope Plans RV Park on Flood Buyout Land

Mount Hope, West Virginia, is advancing a plan to build an RV park on land purchased by the federal government after two major floods displaced over 100 families. Mayor Michael Kessinger said the city spent six years developing the vision, which also includes an outdoor amphitheater and trout habitat restoration. Some residents oppose the location in a residential area, suggesting a site near Killsyth instead. Both sides agreed to form a steering committee to address concerns.
