Late in the evening in Ladispoli, in the Messico area, a fire broke out, destroying a caravan used by a homeless person and a nearby parked car. The flames spread quickly through dry vegetation, threatening residential buildings and the Rome-Civitavecchia railway line.
Firefighters from Cervona (according to another source, Cerenova) extinguished the blaze before it spread to other vehicles. The caravan owner was not injured. Police are investigating the cause; both natural and human origins are being considered.
