A camper fire in North Port, Florida, destroyed the couple's belongings and killed their five-year-old Yorkshire terrier, Ava. Scott Hemp suffered burns to his hands and face while attempting to rescue the dog but was unable to re-enter due to intense heat. The couple is staying with family; a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help them secure permanent housing and replace lost essentials.
