On Sunday, August 9, at around 12:06, police received a report of heavy congestion on the road in Malija, where traffic came to a complete standstill. By 12:55, the road was fully blocked by several motorhomes and vehicles with trailers.
Four foreign drivers, aged 34, 49, 56, and 69, violated restrictions on the use of the road intended for local traffic and were fined. The incident occurred in the afternoon, when heavy traffic was observed on the coast due to the end of summer holidays in Germany and Switzerland.
This is another case of problems during the summer period, when large vehicles enter local roads in Slovenian Istria, where restrictions apply to them.
