A trial has begun in Bautzen against a 19-year-old Lithuanian citizen accused of stealing a motorhome. He was arrested in December 2025 in Germany while driving the vehicle, which had been stolen in Berlin. The motorhome had fake license plates, a damaged driver's door lock, and a dismantled ignition lock.
The defendant is in custody. According to one source, a suspended sentence is possible if he confesses and cooperates with the investigation. Another source states a suspended sentence could be given if he confesses and is convicted of receiving stolen goods.
