A campervan caught fire at the Esso station on the A487 in Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd. A staff member grabbed a terrified Jack Russell that had frozen in shock after the owner threw it from the vehicle. The owner suffered minor facial burns; firefighters from Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog extinguished the blaze, which also damaged a toilet block and a parked Ford Kuga.
