On Tuesday, May 5, a campervan caught fire on the A9 motorway in the direction Orange-Montpellier, near the commune of Fournès (Gard department). According to sources, firefighters arrived around 2:00 PM, mobilizing four vehicles and ten personnel. By the time they arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.
The gas cylinders inside exploded, scattering debris across the central lane. Two passengers managed to escape the campervan and were not injured. Firefighters extinguished the blaze using a water tanker and a technical assistance vehicle. Traffic was temporarily disrupted, but no secondary accidents occurred.
