On May 5 at around 2:30 PM, a fire broke out in a motorhome traveling towards Nîmes near Fournès, Gard, on the A9 highway. By the time emergency services arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, with gas bottles exploding and debris scattered across the central lane. Both occupants managed to escape unharmed. Fourteen firefighters and four vehicles were deployed; traffic was restored quickly with assistance from highway operators and police.
