Two separate head-on collisions in the Otago region resulted in four people being transported to hospitals with serious and moderate injuries. The first crash, involving a vehicle towing a caravan near Waikouaiti, blocked State Highway 1 for several hours yesterday morning. The second incident near Queenstown required a helicopter airlift for one seriously injured patient.
