When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver abandoned it and fled on foot. Despite extensive searches, his whereabouts are unknown.
The motorhome has been seized; after forensic examination it will be returned to the owner. Schweinfurt police are asking witnesses to help identify the perpetrator.
