Erick Sousa Soares, 12, died on July 24 after receiving an electric shock while playing on the street in Brasilia. Police forensics found that a trailer's outlet had an electrical leak, energizing the vehicle's metal structure with up to 220 volts. The trailer lacked a residual current device and grounding, and was connected to a household outlet without these safety features. The trailer owner attempted to take Erick to the hospital, but resuscitation efforts failed. The investigation is being conducted by the 6th Police Station.
