Earthing is the protective electrical connection that helps disconnect supply safely if a fault energises the metal body or appliance casing.
On campsite hook-up, protective earth arrives through the CEE/EHU connection. With generators and inverters, earthing depends on neutral bonding, RCD design and the device manual.
