A severe thunderstorm in the night from Wednesday to Thursday caused numerous fire brigade operations in the Vogelsberg district. In Schlitz, a tree fell on a motorhome; the fire brigade rescued the affected family and accommodated them in a hotel. A barn with a photovoltaic system collapsed in Ützhausen, and a fire watch was set up. In Lauterbach and the surrounding area, there were 19 operations, several roofs were damaged, and roads were blocked by fallen trees.
